'Squeezing' bars into a single line
Currently combining 4 trumpet parts into a single part for a jazz ensemble that is severely lacking players (I am the only trumpet, playing Enesco's Satin Doll which has 4 trumpet parts). The formatting in the real part has 7 bars in a single line, where as I can only get 6 bars.
I've tried fiddling around with the stretch settings, but can't seem to get musescore to move the last bar, I remember being able to drag barlines to shorten bars, but that no longer seems to work in Muse4.
Not a massive issue but would definitely ease my OCD!

Try fiddling with the margin sizes and staff space scaling in Format>Page settings. Adjusting stretch is pretty much a last resort as it tends to make the note spacing uncomfortably tight.

Changing page margins seemed to work thanks!

I disagree, in recent versions of MuseScore reducing stretch works quite well.

Hmm? I haven't tried playing with stretch in MU4 yet. Certainly in MU3 the results were less good adjusting stretch than if I made more space between margins or reduced the scaling.

It was pretty bad in Mu1, but I'm using it ever since. Or reduce the space value
