Playback Engine problem in MS-4.0.1
Hi folks, I was just scoring a piece and found that neither a breathmark or caesura pause the playback as they should. The cursor a=that shows where in the score is being played back stops, but the music continues in the proper time and the cursor begins after the end of the caesura and continues, but not in proper sync with the playback. Hope this can get fixed. (I've also still been having problems with Num-Pad note values, even after updating, but that's for another thread...)
Thanks!
ARH

You need to tell MuseScore how long to pause.
1. Select the breathmark or caesura.
2. Select the Properties tab.
3. Select the Playback sub-tab.
4. Set the Pause time.

...and having given that advice, I just discovered that this feature is broken in MS 4.0.1.
Ah well...

Actually, it does work. But it is a little persnickety sometimes. Try putting it on a different staff.

Yes, I discovered that it works fine on one computer (Windows 10), but on two others, it does not (Windows 11). All three are MS4.0.1. Thanks Microsoft! 😂

No, I know how to do that. (I've been using MuseScore for years). It doesn't make any difference.

No worries. Happens to the best of us. 😊
