how to create a triplet of quarter notes?
Using OS: macOS 10.14, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.6.2.548020600, revision: 3224f34
I cannot see how to create a tie of three quarter notes as triplets. I find the look of this app appealing, and had hoped it would crash less often than, and be more intuitive than Finale 2014. So far, it has not met its promise, but I feel they can get there with improved usability.
I find my efforts to do cmd+3 on a set of three quarter notes turns them into a quarter and an eighth which are bound as a triplet, and a stray quarter following, untripled.

The important thing to take from that is that you need to start by selecting a note or rest with a duration equal to the total duration of the triplet you want to enter.
