[SOLVED] How to write hollow diamond noteheads for aritificial harmonics
Hello,
I'm writing a piece for unaccompanied cello and I would like to use some artificial harmonics. How can I make a hollow diamond notehead? I can find the regular (filled-in) diamond notehead in the properties panel, but I can't find a way to make it hollow. This was possible somehow in MuseScore 3, but in MuseScore 4 I can't find a way to do it.

It looks like there is an open diamond note head in the master palette, is that what you're looking for?
Yes: select your notehead then, in the Properties panel, set the 'Notehead type' to 'Diamond', then click 'Show more' at the bottom to reveal 'Override visual duration', where you need to set it to a minim/half note:

At some point there'll be a proper system for creating harmonics without having to do this runaround to fake their appearance.
