Scores from cloud do not appear

• Feb 17, 2023 - 18:44

I am using MuseScore 4 on two Windows machines.

I created two scores on one machine and saved them to the cloud. They are both visible and playable in the online manager on musescore.com.

But on the second machine (the one I didn't create them on) the Home > Scores tab is empty except for the "New score" option. I am logged into the account, since the top left shows my user name, and the button at the bottom that says "Score manager (online)" takes me right to the logged-in website.

What can I do so I can pickup editing the scores on the other machine?

The save to cloud feature currently doesn't offer that capability. I recommend instead using a third party cloud sync service, like Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

Oh. What is the point of saving it in the cloud then, if not to sync with other instances?

I really read the "Scores saved online (to the cloud) appear in the program’s Home: Scores tab with a cloud symbol at the corner of the file icon." part of the manual as in "on a different machine", because what sense does it make to save it to the cloud if you're bound to the machine anyway? 😂

Most of the cloud sync services offer automatic versioned back up. MS 4.x crashes and corrupts scores so often, you will be grateful for being able to pull back a clean file. I've used it innumerable times with 4.x
