Can't find synalepha

I can;t find the text toolbar, the keyboard icon , or the Text Symbols palette.
It says in the help:
In the text toolbar, click on the keyboard icon , or hit F2 to open the Text Symbols palette. The synalepha is the 4th starting at the end.

Musescore Version 1.3, Revision 5702l Windows 7.
I want a repeat bar close to the time signature so I save space.
I was required to have one count (not zero) of the waltz time in the lead measure.
I set the rests invisible.
That was the only way I knew how to get the repeat bar near the beginning.
How can I get rid of the unused lead-in partial measure now and keep the repeat bar?
And how should I have originally approached getting the repeat bar close to the beginning?

I am not understanding what you are trying to do. Could you post the score you are having problems with?

Normally, start-repeat bars *do* show extremely close to the time signature - only a staff-space width away or less. So without seeing your score (the actual MSCZ file, not a picture of it) it will be hard to say what you need to do differently.

BTW, it is best to start separate threads - each with descriptive titles - for separate problems. Makes it easier when people later search for answers to similar questions they might have.

Is there a way to color more than one selected notes in one operation?
Is there a way to color all of the scores notes before I add more notes?
I am still working hard messing the sheet.
But I am accomplishing getting it on one page.
The lead-in measure on my previous comment is easy enough to
check on a new trial score.
And I don't blame you for not knowing the answer.

You have to be editing text - that is, a place where you can actually be typing - in order for F2 to display the Text Symbols palette. But then it should appear and be just as described ion the help.
