You know what would be nice for MS4?
Customizable brackets and braces. You can name them and configure what they do depending on what instruments are playing or not. You can even change their size and make them do unspeakable things.

Can you explain what you mean in more detail? The brackets should already adjust automatically for a large number of common real-world scenarios.

Yes the brackets adjust well, they are well-adjusted. But what would be nice is the ability to assign a name to a bracket, like this:

Still not sure what you mean. I did this in MU4.

Yes, and now subsequent systems will automatically put in the text next to the brace, just like instrument long name and short name. You won't have to force it on by adding text or frames or whatever.

Apparently you are not using the Long instrument name or Short instrument name properties of the instrument staves. Is that correct?
If you use those properties for the middle instrument staff only, you can set the initial text (= Long instrument name) and the repeating text (= Short instrument name). This also allows you to use line breaks for longer text.

This hints that you want something similar to an Instrument Change, where the text may change during the piece. That would be a lot more complicated.

No, that is not correct.

No, I don't want an instrument change. But I do want the ability to merge brackets together, change their size and position and select whether the changes are scorewide or for just that system.
A bracket with some text. A plain bagel and a coffee. That's all I want.
