Audio crackles in both the playback and the exported sound file

• Mar 8, 2023 - 19:17

MuseScore 4 was working fine for several months and I've created a dozen pieces with it (with sound file exports both in mp3 an wav) but a few weeks ago the audio started clicking. I'd say it's like a scratch or pop on a vinyl but it only occurs on specific notes with specific dynamics (And it also only occurs with the Grand Piano sound within muse sounds). I know this has been reported dozens of times but this isn't just happening while playing back the audio, it makes its mark on the mp3 as well. I've even put the mp3 in audacity and in quieter sections the spikes can be seen. The playback isn't laggy at all and I've already tried all the buffer settings, changing my audio settings, reinstalling MuseScore etc. I have a pretty strong desktop with 16 gigs of ram, an AMD Ryzen 3600X and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER (I don't know if the GPU even matters). And again the problem started a few weeks ago despite using the program on a daily basis for the past couple of months. And I doubt it's a score-thing since the score I've been working on haven't had these clicks beforehand. I've been trying so hard to fix this issue but it's got the better of me. Can any help, or do you have any ideas how to fix this? Thank you in advance!

I am getting this as well. The exported file (.wav file) is crackling at the beginning of many but not all measures. The top and bottom audio waves are touching each other here but no idea way.
