I had to switch back to MuseScore 3. There doesn't seem to be an easy way to set up a jazz lead sheet, or a pickup measure.
MuseScore4 seems unwieldy.

Jazz lead sheet and pickup measure should work the very same in Mu4 as in Mu4
The layout of the new score wizard is a bit different, but it's no more clicks than before. To get to templates, just click the tab at the top of the wizard to switch from choosing instruments to selecting a template. Pickup measure is selected on the second screen of the wizard right alongside where you choose the number of measures. No reason to give up on the amazingly improved sound and engraving just because a few things have changed location slightly - you'll get used to the changes in no time :-)
