Articulatons too loud/strong esp. "accent above" - MS4

OS: Windows 10 Version 2009, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 4.0.2-230651553, revision: dbe7c6d

This might only be a problem for me as I've just ported an MS3.6.2 score into my newly downloaded MS4 (on my brand new computer at last) and tried to listen. Its awful. The accent above is far too loud/strong. Is there some means to soften them? Or do I need to delete all the accents and redo them in MS4 to make them sound more like they did in MS3?

ps, I thought I was being helpful in providing the version gumf. However as it has incorrectly identified my operating system as Win 10 rather than the actual Win 11, I'm not sure how trustworthy the info actually is
