Audio Player Bug

• Apr 2, 2023 - 16:45

When there is an instrument playing multiple of the same note, say the piano, even in different hands, the audio engine will only play it once.

In the image below, I was making some music, and I realized that the audio engine won't play the second B because it is already playing the Cb. This has happened consistently, and it is a constant small yet annoying problem.

The C-flat in the left hand is held down (double-dotted 8th note) on beat 3. The B-natural in the right hand occurs after that on beat 3.5, while the same sounding note is still depressed.

In real life on a real piano the right-hand B-natural note won't sound, because the note is already held down by the left hand. So surely MuseScore is playing back correctly? IMO MuseScore shouldn't attempt to play back what is physically impossible on a single instrument.
