Is there a faster way to type _ for melismas?
When entering a melisma with many notes I have to type shift+ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
even though the slur defines how long the melisma is.
Is there some kind of shortcut which will directly enter the
melisma for all notes under the slur, which I think should be the normal case?

Interesting, I'd think most people would enter the lyrics before adding slurs rather than after, but I can see how in certain cases - especially copying existing sheet music - one might have cases where the slurs come first. I could imagine a new command or plugin that looks at existing slurs to calculate this, though. Feel free to propose it on GitHub.

Ok, I might do so. This would speed up my workflow quite drastically - also with regard to "-" signs.
Most of the time I enter slurs right after inputting the notes
as I already know, which syllables will get more than one note...
Infact the slurs will later work as a reminder: Here is a melisma.
