Odd/Even page numbers - formattng

• Oct 1, 2014 - 00:30

I have a single page lead sheet. When I print it I like to offset for binding. Also I usually bind my music on the right. So I ask it for 8 spaces on the left and 12 on the right for ODD NUMBERED pages. (Page #1, right?)

It prints it as if it's page #2!

OBTW, you might note that if I use 5 (the default) it clips my music - has to be 8! Even 8 will clip "Lyricist" text.

This file has odd pages margins set to 8mm left and 10mm right an is Letter Format (5.9mm wider than A4!)
If I change odd right margin to something else it does change the right margin in the score, on screen. Whether or not it does that too on print might depend on the paper format in the printer and how it scales, maybe?

Okay, working on cleaning up the presently posted Walz for Debby, I was able to get rid of the unnecessary rests in the score, but score pages 1 & 2 appear to be combined on a single sheet, and score page 3 is on a single sheet. I would like three individual 8.5 x 11 pages to be printed out, but don't know how to achieve it. I did stretch out the measures so that the entire score fits nicely on three sheets, each sheet being full of notation.

The Musescore display shows score pages 1 & 2 being on a single wide sheet of paper and then page 3 being on a piece of paper the specified size. (8.5 x 11). However I did print a .pdf to file, and the .pdf does display as three separate 8.5" wide sheets. So apparently it's an issue with the display properties of Musescore 1.3, not what finally prints. It's just that I was reasonably confused. Nevertheless, thank you very much for your response..

Here's a screenshot of the Navigator area (the 'road map' which is normally found at the bottom of the score) expanded to compare with the score itself.
NOT FOUND: 1
For multipage scores, the Navigator does indeed show a small separation between facing pages that the score itself does not.

Normally, while working on a score, I have the score area maximized and the Navigator minimized; and I considered the two facing pages of the score to be lying flat as with an opened book - albeit without the shadow/binding/staples etc. which exist in an actual book:
NOT FOUND: 2
(To see an entire image file, if it's not fully displayed; click on the image itself or open the attachments)

Regards, and welcome aboard.

EDIT: MuseScore 2.0, currently in beta testing, does show a small separator between facing pages.
