If you want MuseScore to "hear the notes" while you play the acoustic upright piano in your living room, it's not possible without using hardware/software that can translate the piano notes' sounds into data that MuseScore can interpret. MuseScore cannot "hear" audio.
Most people use something like a MIDI keyboard or electronic piano that produces MIDI out.

Carefully read about the limitations.

AI technology hasn't come that far yet. There are some baby steps taken along the way, but bottom line is, it's going to be easier / faster to enter music normally in most cases.

If you'd like to try, use a digital piano that can record MIDI files, then open the resulting MIDI file in MuseScore. You'll need to be a pretty expert user of MsueScore to be able to have success cleaning up the results, though, and even so it's likely to take longer than just entering the music normally.
