Hi iv been asked to download musescore for school, iv downloaded v4 but school are using v3 how can i get v3 insted or how can i get the work iv done to work on v3 please?

Go to the downloads page and follow the "Older versions" link. It should take you here https://musescore.org/en/download#older-versions. Follow the link for the relevant operating system and then find Version 3.6.2
