File disappearance

But downloading/installing MuseScore 4 would never ever delete and score.
Search your score via means for your OS, Explorer on Windows, Finder on Mac
The score is wherever you saved it. The new version simply doesn't know where that is. Search your HDD/SSD for the filename. Then open it from there. Just like you would search for and open an old word processing document that you had not accessed for a while.
