How to load soundfonts from score with musescore 4
Musescore 3 has the ability to save your soundfonts to the score, this is incredibly convenient. As far as I can tell, Musescore 4 doesn't have the ability to do this, nor load them. However I'm hoping I just haven't been able to find where to do it, as otherwise it seems like a nightmare to have to add the soundfonts back to each instrument again. Apologies if I worded anything weirdly, I'm not very articulate.

There's no need to do this explicitly anymore - this is now totally automatic. Whatever sounds you had selected when you save the score are automatically used when you load the score.
