I can't make a smooth glissando on violin, it only sound like a cromatic scale. In the properties of the glissando there's no help

If you are using Muse Sounds, it can only play portamento for the specific instruments & notes where it was sampled. If you need it for other sounds, switch to MS Basic for that passage.

Is portamento sampled for violins?

Perhaps for some note combinations, I haven’t tested extensively. But if you’re not hearing it, then apparently not for those notes.
