Help with instrument panel?
the attached score has a stave for each of 5 instruments, and 2 voices on each stave. I need to create parts for each of the 10 instruments (flute 1 and flute 2, and so on). The instrument tab doesnt seem to give me any options when i open it up, even if i create a new part, or duplicate one, to help with this. What am I doing wrong? Be sure to read the Handbook article on parts, in the Basics chapter - https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/parts
The summary: first go to the Parts window (from the toolbar), add whatever party you need there (they will be empty at first), then head to the Instruments panel and make sure just the desired instrument/staff/voice is added to each part.

I have read the basics chapter quite a few times. In the instruments panel, I see no options regarding voices. For example, if i enter the notes for 2 flute parts, using voice 1 and 2, on one stave, there is no way to select just one of the voices.

See in particular this section - https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/parts#choose-which-voices-appear-in… - which shows exactly how to do it. My guess is you are leaving out step 3.
