Corrupted File - ErrorID=13 - can it be repaired?
Hello, we tried to export a finished Score to different PDFs but somehow the file got corrupted. Can it be restored / repaired? I saw a few threads here where it was the case, also our file doesn't seem to be empty as in many other cases. Thank you in advance and greetings from germany - drumbone

This file is not a Musescore file but a PDF!

Ich habe keine Ahnung, wie diese Datei zustande kam. Benenne die Endung msxz um in pdf und du kannst sie mit einem PDF Reader öffnen. Klar, dass sie mit Musescore nicht geöffnet werden kann.
Wenn du die Musescore je direkt gespeichert hast, dann muss sie als mscz Datei noch existieren. Wenn du allerdings nur einen PDF Export erstellt hast und den in mscz umbenannt hast, ja dann ...
Das Einzige was dann noch möglich ist: Nenne deine Datei in PDF um und versuche den PDF Import oder verwende das Tool Audiveris. Aber erwarte nicht zu viel, das funktioniert nicht besonders gut. Besser du findest eine Backupdatei, z.B. im versteckten Ordner .mscbackup

And thanks to PhotoScore OMR software, attached is a MusicXML version of the music. Not corrected or edited in any way, that 's for the OP @drumbone to handle.

If a zip tool does not open the file I try at least to open it using an ASCII editor, e.g. notepad++.
Here I found at the very beginning the string "%PDF-1.7" :-).
Ok, it seems that PhotoScore OMR gives a better result than Audivers does, but still wrong instrument sounds, pretty bad drum recognition and wrong key signatures of the transposing instruments. At least, the rework will be a bit less.
In general, OMR is still far from being perfect ...

Hello, thank you for your quick help - I renamed the extension as .PDF and it could be opened again, i used a backup file to continue working on the sheets. Thanks a lot! :-)
