MuseScore 4.0.2 won’t open
MuseScore 4.0.2 won't open for me I get: One of the files this Plug-In needs can't be found, please reinstall or contact technical support for assistance.
I reinstalled it twice - same results.
I have a MacPro 3.5 Ghz 6 core OS Monterey 12.6.7.

Can you explain what you mean in more detail - what plugin, what file? What exactly are you doing, and what exactly goes wrong? By "plugin", maybe you mean some third party VST instrument you have installed? If that is not installed correctly, it will indeed prevent MuseScore from starting also, so either repait that VST installation or remove it.

All I did was install it for the first and then open it for the first time to use it and I got this message upon opening it: One of the files this Plug-In needs can't be found, please reinstall or contact technical support for assistance.
As far as what plug-in it’s referring too it doesn’t say. So I don’t know.
The lesser version of MuseScore works just fine version 3. A friend sent a chart that needs a newer version of MuseScore and this MuseScore ver 4 won’t open.

... and does your friend have any Plugins applied to their MuseScore 4 installation?

Can you post a screenshot of the error? Perhaps someone will be able to recognize which third party plugin produces that, and then we can advise you better on how to remove it.
Meanwhile, also try the beta of 4.1 you can access from the Announcements forum. This is designed to be more forgiving of problematic third party plugins.
