Divide rhythm in two, keep time sig

• Oct 4, 2014 - 02:23

Often, I write a rhythm that is awesome, but it needs to be twice as fast. So I have to cut and paste it into a different staff and then copy it by hand with faster rhythm symbols (say it's quarter, quarter, dotted-quarter, eighth; I have to rewrite it as eighth, eight, dotted eighth, eighth). For complicated rhythms this becomes very tedious.

It'd be nice to be able to drag a box around the section that's too slow, right click and tell it to fit into half, a quarter, twice, or any amount times the current amount, with correct notes (halfs become quarters, eighths become sixteenths, etc.). That would make it easier to repeat sections at different speeds, too.

Thanks! I never found that when i looked. It's not polished yet, but it'll work. I think that Musescore should start integrating the best plugins into its core (sort of like the Open-Source CG software Blender- there's a page long list of plugins that are included in the install, enabled by default, and basically part of the program. It's very convenient). Obviously only the plugins without bugs would be appropriate for that. Anyways, thanks, I'll download that if I'm ever stupid enough to write something in the wrong time signature again.
