Dynamic playback issue

Attached photo below. Playback in the second measure of the second line is playing at pp instead of mf. The mf is linked to the first note in that measure and pp is linked to the decrescendo in the measure before, so not sure why it's extending the pp. If the second mf (the grey one) isn't there, the entire measure plays at pp despite the first mf
