Divisi lines.
Hello,
I am working on a score, where the cello parts are so different, they have two lines. Each line has divisi. But this happens only for the first few bars of the piece.
So i am having troubles finding a way to keep these two lines when i extract the parts. The parts are extracting as two different cello parts. And i need to have these 2 parts united in one part. I can not write the first few bars (the ones that have lots of divisi in them) in one cello part. So it needs to be 2 cello lines but in one part.
- Is there a way to do this in MuseScore 3?
- If there is a way, how can i make the other line invisible in the rest of the cello part (after these first few bars with divisi in them)?
Thank you!
Alex.

It's easiest to understand and assist if you attach the score. In general, you can have parts generated from separate staves or from separate voices within a staff. MuseScore 3 is rather more limited in these respects than MuseScore 4, but it isn't clear if what you are trying to do is beyond the capability of that older version or not.
It is not super clear what your situation is. I'm guessing this:
You want to have one cello part to hand out to the celloists, and for most of the score, there will be just one staff of music, and all celloists playing from the part will play the same notes.
However, at the beginning of the score, there is section where there are "two lines of music" that should be played, so half the celloists will play one line, and the other half will play the other. But you want both of these "lines" to appear in the same part. And they are different enough that it makes most sense to have them in separate staffs, instead of trying to add them as voices in the same staff.
This is possible.
Add two cello instruments. In the first oneone add all the common notes, and also in the intial section, one of the "lines of music". In the second one just add the section with the other line of music, but do not add the common notes, leave those parts empty.
THen create a part in the part dialog consisting of both these instruments, and make sure that the second cello instrument is hidden when empty.
