Adding another parter after creating parts.
How do I do this? The part is written out but isn't yet included in the "Parts."

Hi - looks like you found the way to create a new post!
To add a part in the current version of MuseScore, click the Parts button on the main toolbar, then select the instrument from the list and click "Open selected". Somewhat more complicated in older versions, so if you need further help please attach your score and say which version you are using.

Thanks but where you say select an instrument (Select part) , it doesn't appear . (Attached) I'm trying to add 'violincello' to the parts.

Looks like you're still using an older version of MuseScore; the process was more complicated back then. You'll need to go to File / Parts, click the "Single Part" button to add a new (empty) part, then name it and add the instrument you want using the controls below.

From the menu, select File → Parts….

thank you. I apparently hadn't done the last step: 'Instruments in score, instruments in part.'
