Allow user to select left and right margins that aren't linked to even/odd pages

Current behavior: changing left-odd margin will also change the right-even margin, and vice versa.

Desired behavior: allow the user to override the link between left-odd & right-even (and right-odd & left-even) margins. Allow all of those settings to be set independently from one another.

Rationale: while the current behavior makes sense for booklet layouts, it would be helpful to have the desired behavior for other purposes. For example, I frequently typeset music with all of the margins set to zero. This allows me to export an image and paste it into a word document that already has margins; thus why I set zero margin in Musescore. However, whenever there is a bracket, I need to set ~.05in of left margin to accommodate the bracket.

For multi-page scores in this situation, I want to set the following margins:
*left-odd: .05in
*right-odd: 0
*left-even: .05in
*right-even: 0

However current behavior forces me to set:
*left-odd: .05in
*right-odd: .05in
*left-even: .05in
*right-even: .05in
This means that if I want to accommodate the bracket on the left, I must also leave that amount of space on the right where I don't need it.

I imagine there are other applications, particularly for music that is meant for booklet form, for my requested behavior.

Is this with the "two sided" setting on or off that you are talking about? Seems with it off it should work as you describe wanting. If not, please attach the score so we can understand and assist better.

Turning off "two sided" is the solution - thank you. I wonder if there's a more intuitive interface design, however. I would not have figured that out on my own, and I imagine there are situations where someone might be typesetting something that is meant to be two-sided, but wants to set margins the way I describe. Furthermore, when you turn off "two sided," the interface uses odd margins as a stand-in for all margins. (It grays out the even margins and only lets you type in the odd margins, which then apply to odd and even pages alike). Would be good to rethink this interface quirk in my opinion.

Perhaps "Different odd and even pages" would be a better label for that check box. That is what is used in the Header/Footer Style setting page. Or perhaps "Different left and right pages" in both places. These are really equivalent. There has been some discussion about whether left pages should always be even and right pages always odd and it seems that the answer is "Yes". See https://musescore.org/en/node/322883 and https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/17154

For the record here is the handbook article that deals with this setting https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/score-size-and-spacing#page-margin-…
