nevermind apparently not setting your sound output up correctly makes the app play the score in 4x speed

Glad you fixed it. This has come up before. For the benefit of others, what did you do to fix the problem?

so basically I went to View>Preferences>I/O and changed the audio device to the one I am currently using (not system default)
