Musescore playback is incredibly sped up and pitched high
I'm currently trying to transcribe some music for Marching Tenor Drums, yet the pitch and playback is incredibly sped up. The tempo speed indicator shows everything is at 100% though, which tells me something else is wrong. Even placing down notes has an incredibly high pitched sound. What horrible hotkey combination did I press to make this happen? This effect is carried over onto other music on musescore as well.

First try running with the mixer open. Tell us about your computer. Does it meet the specs listed on the download page?

My specs should be fine:
4090, i9 13900hx, 32gb ram, 2tb storage
Since I can't seem to upload a video directly, here is a YouTube link to my recording:

I should also mention that I've already tried reinstalling MuseScore but to no avail.

Do you have any external audio devices? If so, try disconnecting any and see what happens. Try some of the settings recommended here: https://musescore.org/en/node/339915.
Often it is a case of matching MU4's playback engine to your system. If you can get it to run properly, then add any external devices and check settings again.
Yeah, reinstall almost never works.

I have an external Blue Yeti microphone. I unplugged it, and playback was normal again - shockingly enough. Plugging it back in speeds up playback once again though, so I'll take your advice. I would have never though to try this, so thank you a ton for your help!

If by this you mean that playback previously worked okay, but only recently exhibited this behavior, try using menu item: Help > Revert to factory settings.
