Broken Musescore Sounds

Hello! I'm a composer and I've been using musescore for over a year now and I've had this problem since 2 days ago;

Basically whenever i try to make a composition, the audio is really but really high pitched in every instrument, i've tried to install a plugin which makes sounds better and it only worked with piano, but the audio (whenever i add a note) is really glitchy but the playback seems to be fine.

Could anybody help me? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times and it seems like the problem is not there on musescore 3 (but i dont really want to use an older version).
