Dotted quarter notes in tablature 12/8 time (v3 to v4)
I opened a file I created in v3 with v4 (OS: Windows 10 Version 2009 or later, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 4.1.1-232071203, revision: e4d1ddf). The score in in 12/8. All the dotted quarter notes no longer display or print the dots, although the toolbar confirms the dot when you select one of the notes. I am pretty sure this is a bug.

To show dotted quarter notes, click the settings gear and choose 'Tab. 4-str. common'.

Thank you for your reply. While that does work, I was already using "Tab. 4-str. full".
Still, It must be a bug because a measure of 12/8 can hold 4 dotted quarter notes, yet my measure shows 4 regular quarter notes, i.e. there aren't enough beats to fill out the measure.

It's not just 12/8. I can't get dots to appear using Tab.4-str.full in any time signature. Also can't see where the display or not of the dot is controlled.

Indeed, it's a known issue: https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/19036

It's no wonder I did not find this when searching. I was looking for something specific, and the issue's title generic. Thanks for flagging.

3.6.2 shows your tabs with the dots.
3.7 & 4.* don't

Right. I created the tab in v3 and opened it for the first time yesterday in v4.

My preference would be to choose the Common Tab Staff type (in V4): 1Oh!_Darling3.mscz
