Anyone know how to add measures in the new Musescore 4

I'm just wondering how to add measures to the end of the score. I can't write more music unless I add more. Whenever I try to use the add measures feature they all just combine the measure into a measure rest, instead of what I want, which are measures that are separate from each other. Does anyone know how to fix this?
