Default window size when opening files

Whenever I open a file in MuseScore, it defaults to the largest possible area without being true fullscreen (i.e. window controls hidden). I'm working on a 32" 4K monitor (I use it for photo editing), and I always need to reduce the window to a more manageable size--around 1/3 of my screen horizontally.

Is there a way to set this as the default? I dug through the settings and handbook pretty thoroughly and didn't find a way to set this.
