Guittar to sound as guittar in playback
Musescore has a serious problem to mimic a guittar.
Most pop songs use up and down strike to accompany a song.
From the discussions I read some suggested to use Arpeggio making the cord sound as a sequence of notes.
This is a piano standard notation that sounds awful for guittar. This is due to the fact that the Arpeggio is extremely slow compared with a guittar strike.
The program developers may be able to implement the guitar strike by creating a "Fast Arpeggio" where, by placing a specific symbol an Arpeggio is performed extremely fast holding the notes until the next strike.
If it is fast enough the Arpeggio will not be noticed as such but will mimic a guittar strike.

You can create faster strums yourself, using the up/down arrow straight arpeggios, changing their speed in their properties and adding them to a palette for later use
