stems pointing incorrect way
I am writing in a Tenor and Bass line and when I use flip or X the stems insist on going in one direction or other.
I need them to go in opposite directions. I have tried stem tab in properties but that doesn't work either. Can you help please?

Are you using voice 1 for Tenor and voice 2 for Bass. If so, they should go tenor stems up, bass stems down automatically.
