Saving a part as a separate MS file

Hi.

Is there a way to save a part as a separate MuseScore file? I can only see how to export to XML files, which is OK but looses some things.

Nor do I, so I think this behaviour may be a regression in MS4. In MS3, the ability to save parts separately was very useful for making layout tweaks during final proofreading.

In MS4 the nearest I could get is this:
1. In the full score, select the entire part for one instrument only (beginning to end).
2. Choose File > Save selection - this does save all the notation layout...
BUT
3. This Save selection loses the layout above the music. The header frame is gone, so there is no instrument name, no work title, no composer. Useless as a solution, sorry.

Can anyone confirm that this is a regression in MS4?

[EDIT]
I should have looked on Github first:

I opened a brass quintet arrangement in MuseScore 4.
To save a single part...
In the Instruments panel, I clicked all the "eyeballs" of the 4 instruments I did not wish to see. Then I did a 'Save as' for the part currently displayed -- i.e., the one I wanted as a separate MS file.
Multimeasure rests had to be activated, though, and the instrument name needed to be added to the title frame.

An interesting workaround, but not very useful in my case, for an orchestral piece with 21 different parts. Page size and layout of the score is very different from the parts, and I would spend more time reformatting than in the case of exporting the parts as XML.

Well, youcan export it as a separate pdf file and then either use it elsewhere such as n Mobile sheets or import it back to Musescore.
