Alter 'color notes' plugin to also colour lyrics

Hi, I've managed to hack this name notes plugin to generate note names as lyrics (without the SPN numbers).
I'm now looking for a way to edit the color notes plugin so that it colours both the note and associated lyric content with the same colour - see attachment.

Is this possible to do? In the color notes plugin file it looks tantalisingly easy (if you know what you're doing) but this could be completely misjudged.
FYI my coding knowledge is very poor (outside of HTML and CSS lol) so please ELI5. Many thanks!
