Dotted notes in Tablature mode

I've been teaching high school guitar ensemble for a few years now. The sheet music I give them has both the standard notation and then a linked tablature staff (6 string - full). Only very recently have I had the issue of the dotted notes notes not showing up on the tablature. I did not change any settings, and when I open an old score that had them, the dots are no longer there.
I've had to print the score and add them in myself before making copies.
