How to add bar numbers to an existing score which did not have them specified on creation?

Can anyone advise me (I'm sure it must be possible)?

Do you really mean "bar numbers", or do you need more than 32 bars (the default value), for example, because your score should have 50 or more?

The bar numbering can be set under "Format/Style/Bar numbers".

Additional bars can be added via the menu "Add/Bars/Append Bars...".

Under "Format/Style" the headings on the page which appears are:
Score
Create multibar rests
Enable indentation on first symbol
Hide empty staves within system
Swing settings
Autoplace

Nowhere on the page is there any mention of bar numbers nor measure numbers.
I am puzzled !

Thanks both!
The page you refer to is obviously what I need - but it does not appear!
The only page that I see when I have selected Format followed by Style is as I have indicated above.
There is no sector on the left, just the page I have described.

Might this be something to do with the version I am running - where can I find the specific version number ?
