Seperating bars between 8th and 16th notes
I'm trying to write a line but the bars keep grouping together when I don't want them to. The first image is how they are grouped, and the second is how I want them separated. How can I do this?

The "bars" are usually called "beams" and the Handbook tells you how to join, split etc. and how to set up the default beaming for the time signature that you are using.
Here, you probably want to click on notes and then go to the Beam properties palette and click on "Break beam left" to split them up. If a sizeable part of your score is like this then you should read the bit about setting up the default beaming pattern for your score.
