MIDI

I use a Williams Allegro II midi keyboard and I cannot get it to work with musescore 4. I have tried troubleshooting. It lets me select Williams Allegro II as my input and output in preferences but will not let me use it as a controller. It will not light up the computer piano keys. I have tried plugging it in before the application starts and have made sure that the notate button is pressed. I have spent hours composing by clicking and it sucks. Can you help me?
