I Want My Score Back!

• Dec 9, 2023 - 19:59

I uploaded my score to the cloud that is apparently non-existant, as when I tried to open it, a small window popped up that says it is "invalid," and I'm pissed. I have made several attempts to find a solution and nothing seems to be working. I have already put at least an hour or two of work into the score and I do not want to have to do all of said work again. Any help I can get would be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Have you tried re-uploading it?

You won't have lost any work since you still have your offline original.
Which version of MuseScore are you using?

Have you tried downloading the score directly from musescore. Assuming nothing went wrong when uploading it (like if your internet connection failed), that should work. If the musescore.com copy is bad, then you can open the local copy instead. On Windows, it's in a hidden folder AppData/Local/Musescore/MuseScore4/cloud_scores. On other systems, it should be something analogous.

FWIW, I recommend against relying on the cloud saving feature - way too much that can go wrong when your primary copy of the score is not under your direct control.
