deleted notes sound during playback
The intro of this was changed, but the deleted notes still sound.

What have you changed? What do you expect?
I see notes with a little head in the intro. Of course they sound until you uncheck the play box in the inspector.
They are just displayed smaller.

There are only half notes (cue size) in the intro, but previously there were eighth notes. I am hearing the eighth notes over the half notes.

You also have a (hidden) piano staff there! Press 'i' and make it visible by marking the box.
The piano plays an eighth note sequence in measures 1, 3 and 4.
Or open the mixer and mute the piano. As the chords are assigned to the tenor, they will continue to be played.
