saving
i spent 12+ hours straight on a project that I genuinely poured my soul into. I went to save it and the error code 401 popped up. I pressed ok and then musecore suddenly closed. I opened my project to see a blank page. nothing saved. the whole project was deleted. i have no idea what happened, all I know is that I'll never hear that project again. is there ANY WAY to get anything back?

If you have been working for so long, I assume that you have saved your score several times in between.
Depending on the operating system and MuseScore version, there are several places where backups are saved, especially in the hidden folder .mscbackup.
And in general: save your files also locally on your computer and additionally in the cloud.
