midi io selection causes program crash

When I try to change my MIDI io device it does not show the change and also causes MuseScore4 to freeze. I have to close the program so I can not use the midi input feature because my default device is not connected to a keyboard. I have an above average number of input devices available. I wonder if this is causing a problem with MuseScore 4.

Make sure your device is connected and turned on before starting MU4. Then make sure it is selected in Edit>Preferences>I/O.
