Tempo and sound is too fast, pitched and crunchy
I'm using MS 4.2.1 on Windows. When I play a score, it plays double to triple time tempo and the marker is not at the right position while it speeds through the score as well. The sound is pitched and crunchy. Doesn't change with other output-settings and is not just a sound problem. The marker speeds through the score as well.

This typically indicates a problem with the sample rate of your audio device. On some systems, you may need to turn it down to 44.1 or 48 kHz if it's currently higher (those are more typical defaults). You can usually find this setting in your OS somewhere.
I’m having the same issue but when I switch to my Mac, or stop using my speakers it works.
I have the same problems,
have tried all speeds 16-32 bits from 44100-96000,
without any kind of change.
Uses AMD Ryzen 7, 16GB RAM, Windows 11, 23H2, Free disk space 664GB.
I have to use Muse 3.6 until a fix comes out
