Entering rests from MIDI Keyboard

I see that I can enter a rest by using the shortcut "0" (or right clicking)

I see that I can assign a different QWERTY keyboard shortcut instead of "0"

I see that I can use MIDI mapping to assign a piano key to "toggle rest" but not an option to "enter rest"

What I would like to do is be able to actually enter rests from my MIDI keyboard, instead of using right click, or a QWERTY shortcut. Is this possible?

If not, can I suggest this feature for a future update?
