Apply updated drumset notation to an existing drumset part

I am new to Musescore. I have an existing drumset part. I would like to modify the stem direction of the bass drum (to up from down).

I selected one bar in the drum part. Right shifted and selected edit drumset. I modifed the stem in the bass drum to point up. I selected apply and also ok and the bass drum stem did not change.

Any help on how to apply revised drumset notation to an exist drum part would be appreciated.
