Chord symbols set to be typed in under the bass clef
One of the things I do to learn every aspect of Musescore is to put every thing in a score exactly where it was originally.
I'm transcribing the Jazz Hanon book by Alfassy. The chord symbols appear under the bass clef.
Is there a way to type this in instead of moving them after typing them in?

Yes.
Type at least one chord symbol.
Select it -> In Properties panel : change the "Position" for Below
Then, click on the three dots "..." and on "Save as default style for this score"
And so all other chord symbols entered will be in this style.

Sometime there was a change or I didn't get an update. I don't get three dots but I do get an s, which on hover over says 'set style'. That worked

It' s the same feature, but with a different design: the three dots are in Version 4 (in Properties panel) while the "S" is in Version 3 (in Inspector panel)
So that means you are still running Version 3: I couldn't guess, you didn't mention in your initial post. :)

Yes, I'm one of them. There are important features in Mu3 which are just plain missing in Mu4. So I can't move on yet.

I'm one of them too. Exactly for the same reasons!
