How do I delete a score?
I am just beginning to work with this program. I can't figure out how to get rid of my practice scores that I don't want to keep.

If you are talking about the list of scores in "Recent Scores", those are not scores, just links to them. No need to delete.
If you want to delete the files, use your file manager, e.g. Windows Explorer. However, they will not disappear from your start screen list.
If it is the list on the start screen: Use "File -> Open Recent -> Clear Recent Files". All entries will then be deleted, but not the scores themselves.
In this list, the unused files move to the end of the list. As far as I know, there is no limit to the number of entries.
Or you open this text file (Windows, MuS 4.x):
C:\Users\{YourUserAccount}\AppData\Local\MuseScore\MuseScore4\recent_files.json
and delete the unwanted entries there.
This AppData folder is hidden. Ask your favorite search engine how to make hidden files and folders visible to your operating system.
