I am pretty sure that it is not the type of sound card that is responsible for the sound quality, but only the sound fonts used. And of course your computer speakers.
For a test: export the MuseScore sound to a wav file and play it back with a very good amplifier/speaker combination - and compare. This way, no sound card is involved.
